i LOVE the Asylum. Tried many (ATT, Mongoose, Hawk, General,... steel, alumimum version, you name it. For me the RX is hands down the best in terms of weight, handling and shaving. It all boils down to technique. I have very sensitive skin. I can barely handle a Feather in a DE. So for me to be able and shave with the RX and have zero issues says a lot!. The only blade that was way to harsh and aggressive for me was the Feather Pro Super (reminded me of a Feather in a DE), however it was used with an ATT SE1. The Feather Pro, Pro Guard, Kai Mild, Protouch Mg, Kamisori and Schick P-30 have all given me a smooth and close shave with the Asylum. Be gentle, let the weight of the razor guide you and find the right angle. It's smooth sailing and so much fun to use.

Good looking and I'd guess rarely seen stainless steel Gens.

Amazing shavers. I had a NOS Gens 8/8+ (carbon steel) for sale that took forever until eventually it got snagged up. Too bad for the ones that didn't grab it asap. I'm also very fond of the Proraso single blade line of products which was generously offered to me by MichaelPz (Cypress/Vetyver SC and ASB). How's the lime in the scent department?

A pretty light scent. Pleasant. Still getting the hang of ratio on the lather.
Think I will try the scuttle next time. Seems to be right if I let it sit in the brush a while.
This brush is quite dense, so I think that is a lot of it.
The balm is a bit heavier on the scent. Very nice stuff, IMO. Scent lightens in an hour and stays light for half the day.
