Razor: W&B near wedge
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilsch
Brush: Semogue Owner's Club boar
Splash: Alt Innsbruck
This W&B is one of the first razors I purchased. I found a restorer on eBay who was selling really nice looking vintage razors, and by then I was familiar with the W&B name.
It definitely shaved well the first time I tried it, but it felt different than the hollow ground Aust I had been shaving with, so I assumed I was more into hollow ground razors and set this one aside.
This morning I wanted to shave with one of my Sheffield blades, and I gave this one another shot. This was one of the most efficient and comfortable shaves I've ever had.
I'm starting to learn that it isn't necessarily the grind that leads to a good shave- a well-honed blade will shave better when I learn to shave with it better. I've definitely rediscovered a new favorite.
FYI, that restorer is Karlej from this very site. Bravo to him on a great looking and great shaving blade!
