    Strop: Portland Razor Co.
    Prep: Hot Shower + Noxema

    Cream: Old Spice

Today was one of those shaves I didn’t ever want to end. I took a few days off from work to try to restore a bit of sanity. Going to take some time to relax w/ Coop, play some Saratoga races, and hang out at the workbench. I’m well on my way with this morning’s old school shave.

It reminded me of my tradition of a haircut and shave on Saturday morning before going to the races. Joe the Barber was the one who got me started with straight shaving back in the day. I always miss him and his shop. It’s amazing how fragrances can bring back a flood of good memories though...

Part of the enjoyment was from the “new” Coltrane lost album. It is incredible and not only something for completionists. It is worth hearing even if you’re just a casual jazz fan. I purchased the deluxe edition, and it’s been in heavy rotation here.

Sorry for the long winded post. Keep the amazing shaves coming, brothers! I truly enjoy each and every one of them!

Funny to think, but it was in my hands before yours. I'd stopped in to see Robert just before he sent it to you.
    Thanks!
It is interesting as Robert told me that the friend came to him, saw this razor and "was afraid" even to take it in hand
