Gasman is real picky about how keen a razor needs to be for his preference. So I honed one up for him, his exact words were like yours. Too sharp... didn't believe it so.

Don't get me wrong, I love the extra sharpness! (I still say someone should make a shaver out of obsidian). That's an interesting point though "shave the lather, not the face" never thought of it that way...
