    Thank you.

The brush was a first run Simpsons Chubby 2 LE synthetic that I attempted to remove the knot by steaming it out to adjust the loft a bit higher to see if it changed how the knot worked. I messed up the process and the knot fell apart on "attempted" removal leaving me with an orphaned handle for a few years. Along came Maggards SDH two band knots and accompanying excellent reviews so I decided to put the handle back into service.

The short version is that I like the knot very much and it compares very favourably to how my Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian and Shavemac 2 band silvertip perform for me. The tips are soft and curl a bit when dried. Set at a 51mm loft it has enough backbone for me. If I lean into it a bit there is a bit of scrub. It's not a lather hog, of which it holds a ton, giving up the lather easily.
