*NEW* ~. Featured Shave of the Month
Hello All!
Jerry, aka. Gasman, and myself are happy to announce that starting August 1st, we will be having a Featured Shave of the Month.
It will run for the entire month until midnight MST (Jerry's time zone) on the last day of the month.
All Featured Shave of the Day selections will be eligible for a vote. There will be a voting thread that will have all the details. Essentially, pick a favorite Featured SOTD and post its date.
Voting will begin immediately after midnight MST of the last day of the month, and run for three days, ending at midnight MST on the 3rd.
The winner will be announced and get an extended showing on the forum's cover page.
We are going to do this for a few months on a trial basis, probably till the end of the year, and see what kind of response it brings before making it permanent.
Get Your Game On!!... It's up to you to make this a success.
Thanks Everyone!

Should be fun! Thanks to Pete and Jerry!
I urge everyone to post an SOTD as often as you can.
Don't think we don't like things with character and patina. It's fun to try and come-up with different things, play with your photography skills, and see how others do it with theirs. It's the 'Sport' in shaving!

Interesting idea!
So if I get this right I look at the SOTD posts of the last month and vote my favorite at the beginning of the next month.
The only problem I see is I don't know personally how to find the last months SOTD in one convenient group to choose from.

Easy Tim. At first I didn't know either.
Go to the Forum's cover page.
In the top left corner of the picture you will see a three line heading. 1. The date, 2.. who's picture and when published, 3. Catagories : Featured Shave of the Day (underlined)
Just click on Featured Shave of the Day on line 3 and your there.
Give to a try!

Yes, Pete has nailed-it. It's all about the Featured SOTD's for the previous month.
I often go and hit that spot and peruse the featured shaves. It's addicting!
I wind-up going back 2 years sometimes!

Pick your favorite SOTD from the previous month...
Post the date in the voting thread.
I will also post a link to the Featured Shave of the Day, that hopefully works, in the the voting thread.

Great write up Pete. Id help more if i didn't spend so much time in the truck. But you know how to find me. BTW, a link in the voting thread would be a nice idea Pete. Good catch!
And for clarification to all, this mean you can only pick from the Featured SOTD pics. Not any and all sotd pics from the last month. If we went that way there would be way too many to choose from.
And for the next question folks will ask... Yes, you can vote for your own picture if you feel it was the best featured pic from the month. When the voting thread opens there will be 3 days to make your vote. I will tally on the forth day and send Pete the winning pic. Then he will post it on the front page. If its a tie... We will work that out somehow. Lol.
So, as Tom said, get creative. Any razor will do. The winner need not be the most fancy or costly. Just what picture you personnel liked the best from the FSOTD thread for the last month.
Good luck to all for having the privilege of the front page for more than one day.Last edited by Gasman; 07-27-2019 at 02:07 AM.
It's just Sharpening, right?
