Recieved this newer style Gold Dollar as a gift from a friend. It took little time and no modification to get shave ready. It shaved incredibly well. Gold Dollar has come a long way from their first offerings, though the scales are still a little wonky.
Now you've given me an idea! I might have to get one of these newer GD's and put them in some wild, funky scales just for kicks.

Definitely could use some better scales. Makes me want to try the Sheffield grind one as well.

Tom your picture is not in its usual setting. You’ve switched it up on us.

    Thanks, Rez!
Cloudy day stealing the sun from the windowsill, Shaun!
After 40 attempts, nothing looked right. Took it all outside and tried again.
Still not so happy. Perhaps a little better. The shave was AWESOME!
