    Thursdays Shave

    Preshave - African Black Soap
    Soap - 3P
Brush - Wild West Brushworks 24mm Cashmere
    Razor - Ribbon 1000 Straight
Balm - Barts Bergamot and Vanilla
    EDT - CK Obsession

Lots of new things for me on this Shave. First the successes, The Ribbon 1000 is a beautiful razor and just the right weight and feel , the Wild West Brush Works Brush is lovely.

3P I loved the scent and the lather and was really enjoying it , then sadly I reacted to it . Good job I didn't buy a Kilo

(hat-tip to [email protected], who taught me how to eliminate "falling lines")
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Funny story for this one. Sometime around 2016/2017 I decide to soak it in some neatsfoot oil in order to rejuvenate the horn scales. Was a busy time, and somehow I forgot about it - despite really liking this razor. Yesterday, I came across some honing notes about a "For the Army" razor and suddenly remembered it (though not what I'd done with it). Finally found it soaking in a double ziplock bag in a drawer. Touched it up on the CF yesterday (after cleaning all the oil off), and shaved with it about an hour ago. Remembered why it was one of my favourite razors.
