I, for one, am quite tired of all the "arty" photographs; I want to see the whole "kit 'n kaboodle" -- show me all the components of what made this your SOTD... and this is why I don't "Like" every SOTD post -- sure, there are a lot of excellent photos... but they're not what this (sub-)forum is about. YMMV.

I think that rule-set might be from Max as he ran the SOTD.
Of course, he no longer runs it. Pete does.

I think rules are lax the forum over and it works. Guys police themselves and proper exchanges/.posts are expected.
Some things are irritating to someone everywhere. Just not a deal any more, I think.
Too little info on a shave is as bad as too much? Hum!

So might be that Pete could write some new rules for SOTD, but knowing him as I do, he is not here to be an enforcer.
We are really just having fun. I enjoy all the posts. Nice pictures!

You are correct Tom. If I wanted to be a rule writer and an enforcer I would have taken the job as a Moderator when it was offered. I believe that was Max's last position.
I just try to be fair in my selection for the SOTD, involve as many guys as possible, and to make sure that everything is above board and not "off color," which it always is.
I always appreciate the effort someone puts forth to participate.

For a SOTD!

Okay so I went to the shave of the day (Rules) and it showed examples. But I'm still confused how this works. For example there were 5 or 6 people that posted pictures of their shave of the day with their equipment. Here's where I'm confused. How is it decided which setup makes it through on a daily basis? Is that you Pete? Not complaining, just trying to understand how all this works and why people are getting so pissy over nothing. I like voting. Doesn't matter to me what you have posted. I vote on what I like!

Pete gets the job of picking the pic of the day. If its every item you touched while shaving or just a razor. Pete donates his time EVERY day! I personally dont have the time or effort to try and set up a great picture but i thank the guys that do. I toss it on the sink and "snap". Thanks Pete.
