Pete, my friend, thank you for your concern.

Several months ago, I had to go into the hospital for a gallbladder infection. During treatment the doctors found a little cancer in the bile duct outside the pancreas. So the then, after some treatments and a month of chemo and radiation therapy, the team of doctors did a Whipple operation.

They cut out the bile duct, the head of the pancreas, part of the stomach, and finally, took out the gallbladder. Then they reattached all the parts. From what I understand, it’s one of he most painful operations. I can attest to that.

I have a long and painful recuperation period ahead of me, but I’ll be fine in due time. I must lay off the straight razor for a while and rely on the safety razors. That’s all right, though, because it is still a daily shave.

Thanks you, Celestino, my old friend. I am home and cooling it. I have to lay off the straight razor completely, for a while, and use my safety razors, but that’s okay, because it is still the sweet morning shave.
