Thanked: 7Wifey is working today, so I decided on one of my personal autumn/winter favorites, PAA’s “Blue Samhain”.
I recently found out that wifey doesn’t like it. As a matter of fact, it’s her least favorite of my autumn/winter scents.
I can see why, as it has a VERY STRONG scent...and wifey dislikes overpowering smells.
I usually get a scentless balm, place enough balm on my hand to treat my face and head, then add VERY LITTLE of the splash to the balm. Rub it together between my palms, then apply it to my face and head.
The splash is a super strong scent because it is also a cologne. So this is what I have to do to tone it down a bit.
Works great.
The soap is super soft (almost a croap), and lathers super nicely. Great slickness.
Paired it with my newest refurbish job - a Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett Co straight razor. (I modified and added horn scales from an old Herder straight, which came out perfect).
Such a cracee sharp blade.
Gotta love the scent. It’s more like a sweet butterscotch to my nose now.
Crushing the day!
Straight: Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett Co.

It's been over a year and a half since I shaved with this one.
Nice to know I can still adapt to an odd shape without too much issue.
Just go slow! It's just Sharpening, right?

Bolzano (5)
William Marvy Shave soap - "Look Better, Feel Better"
Glycerin (4 drops, should have done 3)
Omega Professional '98 Boar
Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve
Really, really, very good lather with this soap using this brush, the added glycerin is a necessary step with Marvy's but who cares, as the payoff on the lather stands on its own.
Great shave.
