Okay, today was a totally different day than the last few PAA “tobacco scent” days.

As usual (because I never mix scents…ever), I used an unscented soap and balm.

Afterwards, I used my last sample vial - “Astra Planeta”…and actually really enjoyed it.

I have to say, I didn’t get too much tobacco out of it. But it was there. A low, lingering, tobacco scent.

    A clean scent.

I will use the second half of the vial tomorrow, Friday, and make my decision whether to get the full-sized soap and splash of “Astra Planeta”.

    Yeah, I enjoyed it.

As always, I pulled-out the trusty Southern Witchcrafts (unscented) “Integrity” soap, and the Wholly Kaw (unscented) balm.

    Great clean shave.

    My only wish?

That WH Morley had made a 1” straight razor. As it it, the 5/8” “Clover” square point is a super sharp blade. The steel is a touch on the soft side, but still a great shaver.

Astra Planeta was the nicest tobacco scent of them all. (To me).

Crushed Thursday with the daughter after the shave.

    Straight: WH Morley & Sons
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
    Lather: Southern Witchcrafts “Incorporeal” (unscented)
Balm: Wholly Kaw “Bare Naked” (unscented)
    Splash: PAA “Astra Planeta”
    Brush: Mühle (synthetic)
    Bowl: Captains Choice (large)

    Smoking shave this Friday morning.

Pulled-out one of my favorite summer scents.

Clean, fresh, and an incredibly slick soap. Lathers thick and smooth.

The Koraat did its job in spectacular fashion…as expected.

And the balm was cracee nice skin food.

Just an outstandingly smooth shave. No irritation whatsoever.

Even my DE razors cannot give a cleaner and smoother shave than a well-honed straight razor.

    Crushing Friday!

    Straight: Koraat 14-2.0 (custom shortened)
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
    Lather: Wholly Kaw “1776”
    Balm: Wholly Kaw “1776”
    Splash: Wholly Kaw “1776”
    Brush: Wolf Whiskers (Shavemac Silvertip)
    Bowl: Captains Choice (large)
