Killer shave this morning.
Gotta say, I absolutely love the Captains balms.
Just the best in the market for no greasiness, fast absorption, and NEVER makes my head sweat.
This scent is lightly mentholated, and reminds me of “Draakar”.
A clean refreshing shave.
Used the trusty ole Wade & Butcher for an outstandingly baby-butt smooth shave.
Just crushing it this morning!
Straight: Wade & Butcher (VR stamped)
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
Lather: “Captains Choice “Nor’Easter”
Balm: “Captains Choice “Nor’Easter”
Splash: “Captains Choice “Nor’Easter”

I'm not usually much of a SOTD guy, but well, sometimes you have this particular moment you want to share. It's been a long while I had the time and opportunity to work on a vintage blade, and this particular project had everything "just as need to be".
Without further ado
Razor ; Pradier circa 1820, ivory and silver
Badger : travel badger by G. Keller, master badger silvertip, from the travelling set of Fernando Leon y Castillo
Soap : Mardin de Candre lavender
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.
