    Great shave this morning.

I don’t know why, but I opened my shaving cabinet and chose “Hallows” for my shave of the day.

It is usually more of an autumn/winter scent. And the balm is also a smidgen more viscous than the others, which is perfect for cooler days. (And since it’s gonna hit 105° today, I would usually go with a thinner, more absorbent balm).

But there it is…I chose “Hallows”.

    Super unique scent.

Of all my soaps and balms, this is the ONLY one I consider “seasonal”.

I paired it with my Koraat, and it was a stupendous shave.

    Just loving it.

    Straight: Koraat 14-2.0 (custom shortened)
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
    Lather: B&M “Hallows”
    Balm: B&M “Hallows”
    Brush: WCS Beacon (synthetic)
    Bowl: Captains Choice (large)

    A Trans-Atlantic... Razor!

Ok... for my first Custom, I wanted to exaggerate!

Born from the collaboration of Bruno van Dooren (Snailforge) and Glen Mercurio (Gemstar Custom Razors) - it is part of a group of 6 blades forged by Bruno and finished, polished and handled by Glen. I wanted mine with blond horn and brass washers/pins.

It took 3 months to arrive from Idaho (thanks to USPS + Italian Post service) ... but in the end, it got @home and delivered a veeeeery smooth shave!

    Razor: 7/8 "- 1/2 hollow - W2 Carbon Steel
