Wow, super shave today.
Went with the absolute best unscented soap on the market (IMHO), and used the low-toned pure tobacco scent, “The Soloist”.
At first it was not my favorite scent. But it is growing on me, and the wifey really likes it. Not a smoked cigarette scent. But more like a tobacco leaf scent, with a sweet bourbon undertone.
It is very subtle in scent. And the strength is something like a 4 or 5 out of ten…which I like. (No use overpowering those around you with a scent you like, but that others may find offensive).
Bottom line, a buttery smooth shave, with silky sticky skin food.
Crushing Tuesday.
Straight: Wade & Butcher
DE: Carbon Shaving Cx-316L (head shave)
Lather: Southern Witchcraft “Incorporeal” (unscented)
Balm: Soap Commander “Integrity” (unscented)
Splash: Zingari Mann “The Soloist”
Brush: Omega (synthetic)
Bowl: Captains Choice (large)

SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Fine Platinum AS Splash.-Jeff
