This was one of the test batch soaps from Scheermonnik that I managed to purchase from Ron, when he was starting out. He thought these were too simple scents and didn’t continue them. This particular one was labeled Barbershop and that’s exactly how it smells. Simple, light and soapy. He wanted to use this image of the shaving monk, which is what scheermonnik literally stands for, but didn’t get the approval of Pears to use the image commercially. This is it:
So, he made more flavorful scents like Soek and more.
Not sure if it’s still Ron who makes these, but Scheermonnik soaps are still available from:

I have no commercial interest here by the way.
Ron was nice and friendly in our communication.
There are more scents now than a few years ago.
I bought this test-soap in 2017.
