I remember that tobacco. Chewed a lot of plug tobacco, in my early days.
Theeth would almost turn black, twas like spitting tar...those were the days.

Original scales broke so I used these timber scales I had on the shelf. A couple coats of CA inside and Tru Oil outside. Made a bone wedge. I also did all my Japanese knife handles with Tru Oil. They look amazing.

I chewed Day's Work back in 1966/67. Used to cut off a slice with my penknife... spit into a Co-Cola can. Loved that licorice-tobacco taste. I was 14... 15... went to class (10th grade) with it in my cheek. Didn't talk much. Kept that can hidden, but handy.
