    Quickie prep
    Little Cutie brush
    Tabac soap
    Dubl Duck strop
    Testing 4 razors
    Trumper's alum
    Gucci Pour Homme ASB

3 of the razors were not satisfactory but the 5/8 C&S was great This was enough to make my day as this one has not been refined yet (just off the coticule, no higher hones, chromium, newspaper - so I know it will get even better).

    Cheers

    Default sunday: my first entry...

finally a shave worth getting immortalized

    shower
    t&h soap
    pete's brush
    sara's scuttle
    jim's vintage/new combo character strop
helje no.32 tortoise (long anticipated first shave)
    lather, strop, relather, shave
    wwr
    csf, pre de provence asb
floris vetiver edt sample (I think I like this one)
final verdict - best shave ever

    I could not believe how smooth and clean the shave was - whiskers just disappear;
2x wtg, here and there xtg/atg for good measure, no point trying bbs - really close to it
"Ivo's honing services" are superb - well worth the wait. note to self - watch out for what he's selling, not only great condition, but honed like nobody's business

I'm so glad to hear this, Ivan

And just for the record - I do not offer "honing services," just either sell shave-ready or (if asked) sometimes will hone a razor that I sold as "not shave-ready" - when I have the time and inclination

    Cheers
    Ivo

yeah, i know hence the quotes... thought i'd help maintaining your reputation about putting an edge to a razor, since your macho one got a tad of a tarnish
yeah, i guess i'm not married for a good reason, gotta keep my mouth shut around girls, except for the 'yes, honey' part, that is...
this was seriously off topic, but i'll be back with more shave reports and soon some pics.

wha? so because I cook and spend time with my kids my macho rep is tarnished???

guess I should be glad my name on the forum hasn't been changed to "Man who hones in a dress"

    Cheers
