First nice, bloodless shave
Nice hot bath, using my Case Red Imp straight razor to shave my legs (for those who don't know me, I am a woman and I have to shave). Taylor's Eton College soap, natural sponge, Mama Bear's Rosemary Mint shampoo and Origins apricot Fresh Rinse conditioner.
The Shave:
- Dovo Prima Klang 5/8", red oak handles, stropped 30x on rough black side of a TI 4-sided paddle, then 30x on 0.5 pasted leatehr, then 30x on smooth leather.
- Nice hot, wet towel with a bit of lavendar oil on face.
- Lather up with Colleen's Leatherneck soap on my silver badger-hair brush from a scuttle.
- Hot, wet towel soak again a la Lynn's video
- Origins' pre-shave oil applied
- Lather up again, same soap.
- Nice shave with the Prima Klang
- Thayers Supermedicated blue label splashed on
- Origin's "Fire Firghter" aftershave
- Origin's super antioxidant moisturizer on rest of face!

non-descript brush
Mamba-bear Attar of Roses soap with TOBS Rose shaving cream

Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Mama-bear Lilac ice aftershave
My first shave with this razor...very nice. Heavier than a dubl duck of similar size, but still gives a bit of feedback.
Three passes, WTG, XTG, ATG on cheeks (I have a goatee)

Thanked: 1I hope it's okay for a newbie to post here.
Nice long shower
Colleens bay rum soap (mmmm!)
Altesse silvertip badger
W&B 9/16 hollow ground square point with clear horn scales
Artisan strop x20 wtg, 10 atg
Proraso razor burn relief
Proraso after shave balm
All pretty plain, but what made this shave special and something I wanted to share with you is it's a gorgeous day here, looks like spring has come early with blue skies and a robust dawn chorus, so I turned my bathroom fan off, opened the skylight wide and listened to the birds singing with vigour. I took a good thirty minutes to shave and am sat here buzzing with my best bbs feeling yet.

Here's my storage and lather bowls...
along with Ogallala Bay Rum puck, straight razor, 50 strops on leather, and Guerlain Coriolan AS and EDT.
I particurlarly enjoy this vintage Ever-Ready Badger bristle Brush..number 1000.
If anyone has info on this brush I'd like to hear about it.
I keep the lather bowl in the hot water and it stays warm throughout my shave. I wouldn't be getting a scuttle cept I take the bowl out everytime I rinse my face..It works well but is a pain..somewhat
Here is this wonderful wee badger brush. It has lots of character and backbone..ONE of my favorites. Heaping full of Ogallala Bay Rum.
Here's a good pic of everything..INTERESTING...to me... The green bowl is a Thomas OBRIEN make from Target. They were on sale for $3 for two bowls. Ridges inside the bowl helps the lather making, I think
