    4:30 A.M. this morning:

    Ogallala Bay Rum soap
    Omega pure bristle brush
    Geo. Wostenholm & Son spike
    Loom Strop
    Ogallala Bay Rum a/s

3 passes, close to bbs, was half asleep and shave prep wasn't quite up to snuff.

    Red face Tryout Razor Shave

Finished re-scaling a Gold Nugget 4/8 hollow. Razor had slight frown but I decided to shave with it anyway. I just wanted to get the feel of my newly fabricated scales and overall balance. Frowners do pull and do not yield smooth shaves. I ended the finish of the shave with my old XLT 6/8 half hollow. The Nugget is in for a new edge profile. It handled well and was good in part.

    Riencke Gold Nugget 4/8 hollow
Wostenholm 6/8 half hollow India steel

Pirate's Cove bay Rum & Lime Soap-Rainwater Lather
Repaired (JB Weld)1960's Battle-Weary Brush (tired but true)

All done outdoor in early light-not a great shave but a good shave.

Like to see the same shots come February, though...

P.S.-you were so busy showing us the great outdoors you didn't post the list of goods!
You're on! (I live in FL right now)

I updated my post to reflect the goods used.

A wide, stable shelf for the gear... Good idea!

Would you shave outdoors like this again? I would, but you really got to have a plan for layout; it's definitely not like being in the bathroom with all the amenities. It does have its own charm though.
