Thanked: 335Friday, June 5
I had a very pleasant shave this morning with what is becoming my favorite razor: a Friodur 7/8 "new grind" from the Shaving Shop. Lather was from my old standby, Speick cream in a tube, smooshed around with that new small Rooney silvertip brush Jim Ayars @ Vintage Blades has on sale right now.
That little Rooney is a real sweetheart. It's soft with good body and has that wonderful wet dog aroma which hopefully will go away soon. I'm moving away from monster brushes toward those of more modest size while moving toward razors with larger blades ...I can't figure it out either.
At any rate the shave was smooth and close; I really like it when tools and technique happen to work as anticipated.
