    Thumbs up Test Shave

    Brush: Shavemac 20mm in Pure
Razor: 6/8 BAIKAL Chemical Steel Wedge
    Soap: Tabac
    AS: Burley Executive Lime

The razor was one of four that I honed up over the weekend. It started off like a saw (i.e. chips galore) but after some work on my #400 hone it was ready to go. I went through my normal progression up to #5000 but after that (instead of using lapping film) I tried out two new Japanese naturals (both are Asagi but one is much finer than the other) that I just got last week. The results were a very very keen edge. Almost too sharp. But with one WTG and one XTG pass I am a squeeky clean BBS. (BTW This razor will be going on sale soon as this was only a test shave.)

    Friodur 70 1/2 11/16s roundpoint

The Friodur is so smooth I didn't even bother with aftershave.
