Thanked: 137Today's shave:
Brush: Semogue 2015
Razor: Harris Bros 559 wedge
Uber: Tabac & Body Shop Maca Root
AS: GFT Limes Skin Food
Decided to try out an odd uber combo today. First pass was horrific (lather was too dry), but adding a little water made for a decent shave. The maca root scent complimented that of the Tabac quite well, I felt. The hardest part was actually getting the soapy water for the uber, since the Tabac soap soaked most of it up, and any excess went down the sides into the bottom of the white glass jar. I think next time I won't bother trying to get the soapy water from it, and only put enough water on the puck to soften it slightly. Overall a good shave, but the burn from the first pass persists still.

Thanked: 116This morning:
Prep: shampoo
Brush: Mühle badger
Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood
Bowl: stacked Pyrex bowls with boiling water
Razor: Hope Cutlery 738
After: alum block
The shave was excellent, the razor needs to be honed a bit more to really excel. The stacked Pyrex bowls is a nice improvement, the lather was still warm and moist after 3 passes.
I kept a goatee and 'stache to test the 4/8 and 3/8 razors tonight or tomorrow.

Liked the TOBS Bay Rum (my sister brought it for me from....New York! I asked her to bring me any Bay Rum, but she got me the only European one I am aware of!! But I appreciate it anyway...), not as strong as the Royall, but good nevertheless...

Thanked: 293Well.. I got CarrieM's tallow soap in the mail today (on Friday, as promised ), and went in for a shave. The soap, while not especially explosive since I used boar, was incredibly creamy and left my skin feeling great. Good stuff, CarrieM!
RupRazor Paladin 3"
Clauss 11/16
Omega 20102 Boar Pro
CarrieM's (Unscented?) Tallow Soap
Thayers Unscented Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Dominica Bay Rum
This Clauss is so awesome. What an unsuspecting razor, but the hone that Utopian gave this thing made ATG on my steel wool face effortless.
As always, thanks to all this shave's contributors!
