Yup I actually did a 4/8. I honed it so well last night that it did a great job. I have two small ones, the Puma 4/8 and a Dorko 3/8 French point. I still like the bigger blades though. Something about all that steel.

Sunday is ALWAYS a straight razor day at my place. Today's choice, Simmons Barber's Pet #421, SMF Brush, Taylor's Avocado Shaving Cream, followed with a splash of Florida Water. Shave music by Mark Knopfler.

Do you find it easier to nick yourself with these narrower blades? I have a harder time controlling a 5/8 than the larger blades, my 5/8 wedge being an exception. I would think that due to the lighter weight there would be more temptation to press the blade while shaving, which could be downright scary with a keen razor from Lynn and the other honemeisters.
