    Newbie, but couldn't resist the music being mentioned.

    Merkur 12C with Feather
    Dovo Special for touchup
    Tabac SS
    Thayers WH
    Nivea ASB - Sensitive

    Rather than learning by using the SR and following up with the DE, I'm building more confidence by using the SR to carefully do the touchups near my mouth and chin. Reasonable strategy or am I just avoiding the real work?

    Evening music: Sade

    Love the classical music too, but sometimes this music is just more soothing to me.

    When I first started Straight Shaving I just took the plunge and only used a Straight, before that I very rarely shaved, just a pair of clippers as short as they go, now I never even think of using any other razor
