    This Wacker is lucky.

I was very close to selling it, because every time I used it (2-3 months) it gave me a very rough shave. I suppose it's a testament to hard "Wacker Steel".

I decided I'd give it a final chance. Last night I gave it the strop tour.

20 laps, cerium oxide on horse
50 laps finishing linen (Illinois 361 - not broken in, a little rough)
50 laps canvas (RupRazor Paladin - very broken in)
    50 laps 361 cowhide
    50 laps Paladin horse hide

It is now a beautiful shaver, and a proud member of the family for some time.

That has got to be one of the most interesting gold washes/etches I've seen yet. Very eye catching, imparts a unique sense of character to the razor - beautiful straight you have there Oglethorpe.
