I'd be more than happy to tell you my impressions of it, but to avoid getting too far off subject in this thread I will pm you about it later.

    Iridium #6
Kaloderma Shave Soap NOS 1961 Vintage

Even from 1961 the Kaloderma is still excellent. I smell lemon fragrance but I could be wrong.

A sunny-but-cold day off today to see my buddy get hitched at the courthouse.

A token of gratitude to both BeBerlin for his praise of Castle Forbes' The Pre-Shave, and to Slartibartfast for mentioning a good deal on Tabac. The soap arrived earlier this week and this was my first full go with it. Consider me part of the love it camp on Tabac -- great stuff for a great shave!

    · Castle Forbes' The Pre-Shave
    · Tabac shaving soap
    · A. Witte Gold Bug
    · Royall Bay Rhum

Also a note that I tried holding the razor as mentioned in the Shaving Made Easy book, in which you put your pinky on the tail, three fingers on top of the tang, and thumb on the side of blade towards the center. When I held it away from my face it felt okay and probably good for shaving someone else, but after about 2 strokes I ditched it out of fear. Felt awkward and seemed more difficult to arrange my hands so that I could see the mirror. Might try again another time.
