    Default Sunday

    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Martinez' custom: Chess King w/ 26mm silver tip badger.
    Soap: Mama Bear Aged Spice.
    Strop: Tony Miller Heirloom tri-strop
Razor: Henckels Friodor 8/8 Spanish point w/ mammoth ivory scales
ASB: Mama Bear winter Aged Spice

Soundtrack: Anne Sophie Mutter - J. S. Bach Violin Concerto in E
What a great shave! The smell of Old Spice. The music. The sounds, heat and smell from my wood stove. It all made me think of memories from the late 60ies and early 70ies when I was a boy watching my Grandfather shave. He was using the same shave mug that I’m using today and he usually was listening to classical music while he was shaving.

Great, long, slow, relaxing BBS shave!

    Default SOTD Sun 21st

Woke up to the awesome sound of the snow plow this morn I appreciate good work ethic, but jeez man 0430? So rather than cause harm to a civilian, I broke the blade out on myself to get back into my zen.....It worked..

    Pre-oil: AOS
    A/S: Ogallala sandalwood
    Brush: no name from germany
Razor: Engels..A really fantastic shave. Bette that my Dovos (To me anyway)
Mug: Old Spice. I like that wide low mug. Its not pretty, but it's the most efficient.

    Prep : Hot shower

    Soap: Proraso

    Strop: IRS 206

Razor: My great grandfathers HALMA, Solingen - Rescaled and Restored by
Max the Magician. What a fantastic job! Sorry about the large pictures
but I really wanted to show what an amazing job Max has done on this
razor. It is a very special feeling to be able to shave with the same
straight razor that my great grandfather used daily almost a 100 years
ago. I can't thank Max enough for doing such a great job.. helping me
preserve this precious item of mine. You are the best Max.

Sadly my camera is not the best and could not produce pictures quite good
enough to show just how good a job he actually did on this razor. But I hope
    you get the picture..

    After: Proraso post shave cream
