    Default Double shave test

And both passed with flying colors

Razor 1 : A nameless, faceless razor. No tang stamps for location or maker. Mottled yellow handles that have a cool looking depth to them. She's 3/4 to full hollow, and shaves nicely... Nothing super special, but definitely not shabby.

Razor 2 : A Hess Hair 300 razor. Scale stamp proclaims it to be the Frank Hess Wedge, and a wedge she is! Had a hellacious time honing her, and didn't expect the shave to be that nice, but WOW was I wrong! I've always thought that I just didn't like small razors, but this little 4/8 wedge kicked that notion right out of me! And, I gotta say, I'm starting to love the bigger grinds... Wedge to quarter hollow... They're niiiiice.. I almost wish this one hadn't sold, the shave was so effortless.

Brush: Semogue model 2000, 25mm Boar bristle knot. I love the Semogue brushes, and this one is no exception... The really long loft makes it a little floppy, but it still feels and handles great.

SC: The Body Shop Maca Root. It's cheap, you get a lot of it, and it works great.

SS: TOBS Sandalwood. Love the smell, finally got the right loading technique..

    Superlather!

    Strop:
Pre-Shave: Both razors got 60 laps on Linen, then SRD Poly web, then Nylon (180 fabric laps) followed by 60 on Latigo, 70 on SRD Bridle, and 75 on Horsehide (205) For a total of 385 laps per razor, 770 pre shave strop laps.
Post-Shave: Both razors got 50 laps on wool-felt (100) followed by 100 laps on SRD Premium I (200) which leaves me at 300 laps after the shave...

Total stropping for a one pass WTG shave? 1070.

Don't look at me like that... I like to strop
