    Matt,

Thanks for the birthday wish as well as your SOTD post. Both of them are much appreciated...

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    old Fields badger
    1958 Executive/Iridium
    AOS lemon SC
    vintage Caron 'Yatagan' AS
    vintage Caron 'Yatagan' EdT

I get in a rut with this razor/blade combo. It's my favorite of any other combo I've ever used, and I sorta get used to how little effort it takes for a tremendous shave. It's difficult for me to break out of it sometimes........heh.

I have maybe 6-8 razors in my small rotation, and eventually I'll get another out from the shaving arsenal and give it a spin. Right now I'm too complacent to screw around with a different razor or blade, although there's many of each I enjoy.

Jeeeez, I smell like celery and pine.........in a good way. This Yatagan is pretty wacky juice.

    Martin

I, too, love the celery smell of Yatagan. Slather me with peanut butter and stick-on a bunch of raisins, and voila! "Ants on a Log" :-)
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Notice the price of honing a razor equals the price of a
