Happy shaving guys :)
Haven't hit the Bach yet...
Thanks Robert,
Actually I just took my 4th trombone lesson this past Monday so basically I'm at the "Twinkle,Twinkle" stage. I've played the piano for 44 years, played the alto sax for about 10 years (high school days), and bassoon in our former church's orchestra for about 8 years (last played about 12 years ago), so I'm no stranger to music. That being said, trombone is a whole different ball game. Brass is like speaking a foreign language to me. I'm still freaking out about the concept that making the slide longer doesn't necessarily equate with a lower note.
The process is really fun, though. I'm taking lessons with my 12 year old son, who chose it as the instrument he wants to play in school this fall. I guess I'm doing it for multiple reasons - I love a challenge (also one of the reasons for learning to straight shave), I enjoy doing things with my son (male bonding opportunity), and I figure if he gives up on it we won't have wasted the money on a good trombone:)
As for the Tour - I watched the prologue and haven't had the chance to watch anything else (or ride my bike much for that matter). It's been a busy summer!

Love the photo :beer1:...Nice, subtle touch. The music notes in the background + the Trombone give it a real "jazzy" look. So, what do you play with that thing?
PS: Are you watching "Le Tour de France"?
