Überlather: AOS Lavender + Mitchell's Wool Fat + Glycerin
Astringent: Thayer's Witch hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
Moisturizer: D.R. Harris Arlington After Shave Milk
    AS Splash: Floïd Italian Amber
Result: It's always a pleasure to shave with this Le Grelot...especially after a nice 6 mile run/hike in our local mountains (Ahhh!! the smell of fresh air after a good rain. There's nothing better. With no one on the trail ). The beautiful butterscotch micarta scales (done by Max) really fit this blade well. The slick überlather composed of a mix of AOS lavender/MWF was not only pleasant to smell but also wonderful to work and prep the beard with. Very moisturizing . The Grelot effortlessly mowed the whiskers away, leaving nothing but a refreshingly smooth skin in its wake. The finale was with a concoction of the D.R. Harris Milk and Floïd Amber, which gave the ultimate moisturizing finish to an excellent shave. Today is going to be a very long Saturday for us and my face is ready for it.

    Default Saturday

Prep: Hot shower—followed by Proraso pre-post-shave cream
    Brush:
    Simpsons Chubby 2 “Super Badger”
    SS/SC:
    Tabac + Ingram = Superlather
    Strop:
VB Red Latigo--50 fabric; 60 leather
    Razor:
    5/8 C V. Heljestrand “Elskituna”
    Astringent:
    Thayer’s Original Witch Hazel
    ASB:
    Nivea for Men “Sensitive”
    AS:
    Pashana “Original” Aftershave
    Result:
Outstanding shave. This Elskituna is not only a beauty, owing to its genuine ivory scales, but is also fast becoming one of the favorites in my shaving rotation. Then too, what can be said about Tabac? It possesses a nice masculine fragrance and delivers a smooth shave. I especially like it on cool autumn and cold winter days. Add some Ingram shaving cream to the mix and I’m in heaven.

And thanks, I haven't had time to polish it yet..It came that way, I just need the time to bring out the bling in the blade....I have been spending all my free time studying Space and orbital mechanics rather than doing what I like (my razors, and SRP)...But unfortunately, this is what pays the bills

For once I find that the bottle does the scent and feel of this AS justice. Both a pleasure to look at and to use.
