Result: This nimble little razor shaves just as well as it looks. 2 passes and BBS this morning. The Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood is so smooth and sweet, a wonderful way to finish a shave.

The shaves are looking amazing so far this week , keep them coming

Have a great Wednesday gentlemen, you deserve it!
That is a really, really pretty razor. They say Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Cream: Trumper Limes + Proraso Soap + Glycerin
    Razor: Wakami Folding Kamisori 13/16
    Astringent: Thayer's W.A.
    AS: Lucido After Shave Lotion
    Moisturizer: Lucido Smooth Skin
    Scent: Versace Man
Result: This week I had the pleasure of having JMS (Mark) visit me. When he got here I asked him to check some of my blades to see if the honing was up to par. He told me that the kamisori was a bit too rough, but did not tug... This got us thinking and we came up with the conclusion that the 16k Shapton can make razors almost TOO SHARP. So back to the hones i went... back to the 16k. I decided to follow Lynn's advice and give it a 10x1 ratio on the 16k, for about 30 laps. After that I gave the edge about 15 laps on my balsa CrOx finisher. Progressed to 70 linen/100 leather. The result was spectacular, so spectacular and smooth that I got slightly complacent for a second and the Kamisori reminded me just how sharp I got it with a nice little nick under my nose.
Even if I had to get my styptic pencil out, this was still one of the smoothest shaves I've ever gotten. The Kamisori just gets better...

    Shave on gentlemen!

PS. I really think my fish likes posing for these SOTD pics...

    David,
If I was a gambling man, I would be willing to bet that you are slowly starting to like bigger blades . Beautiful razor. But sorry about the nick

PS: I think you're right...your fish will be looking to get some kickback from you soon...call it the modeling fee

Slowly, but I think the real addiction is the Eastern Steel...
Expect some surprises by the end of the week, fish model permitting of course.

I know you'll be pleased when you get yours. Happy early Birthday Jeff!
