We ask for the SOTD that every post consist of your shaving setup of the day. This means besides your razor or DE we like to see the remaining shaving setup like your cream or soap and shaving brush. The SOTD is a place where we share our daily shaving ritual and most of use make an effort to participate which is what makes the SOTD such a great and unique place. SOTD's that feature only a razor with no meaningful content and reposting the same picture over and over again will be deleted.. If you want to showcase your razor only you can use the 'Show and Tell', 'Razors' or 'Custom Builts and Restorations' forum.

It has come to the attention of the Mod team that several people are using the SOTD in an active advertising role.

Please feel free to show off your SOTD,

BUT

Please keep in mind that posting pics of ANY brush or razor that is actively for sale by you on ANY site is not allowed and is regarded as Marketing. Wait until you sell the item before using it for your SOTD.

Posting or linking to youtube or other shaving video is not allowed as is trying to promote or by asking members to join or subscribe. Please keep your shave of the day to showing of your shaves and beautiful gear within SRP and its members.

The SOTD has seen an incredible growth in both participation of our members as being the daily chatterbox for our brotherhood. Thank you all for making the SOTD what it has become today.

Because the way we talk and interact with each other we have a tendency to respond to the same post by quoting the posted images and sometimes lengthy textual content over and over again. This makes loading the pages very slow and also makes for extended long pages with the same pictures and text showing up several times after each other.

We hereby ask you when replying to a post to at least remove the image tag or images, audio and (youtube) videos and if possible shorten the quoted text.

Below are a few examples on how to proceed.

Quoted replies that do not conform to the SOTD rules and guidelines will automatically be deleted.
