Ordered the FON from JimR on Sunday and had it at my house on thursday from Japan! Set the bevel then dilucoted (new verb) on my coticule and then went nagura on my J-Nat. Took an easy, nice edge and the shave was smooth.

Robert, I was torn between the FON and the Coral too, but being the shallow man that I am , I chose the FON for aesthetic reasons only.

You're not shallow . The FON is a beautiful piece of steel and looks like it holds a great edge too.

Great photo. The new razor is beautiful. I have a very simlar project I've been doing here and there for months. I was just putting the finishing touches on it today when I trashed the handle. I was looking forward to showing it off here soon but it will have to wait a little longer.
