    Right.....anyway:

    Hot shower,
    Weltmeister 6/8 sheffield just honed,
Colleen's Orange Patchouli $c shaving cream,
    Nivea aftershave balm..

Gorgeous. I didn't think I could feel this good after using a razor I honed myself. I must be doing something right (finally).
Also That OP shaving cream is delicious. As soon as I run out of her samples (by that time I'll have money + an excuse to buy more shaving stuff) I'll be buying a serious tub of that stuff from her.

    Default My first honing success!

Wahoo, I've been working on the little eskiltuna that Vlad sent me for a project and learn-to-hone razor, and I decided to test it tonight before I went to bed. Nothing like going to bed cleanshaven.

Tonight was also a proraso love affair night. Sorry Trumpers lime, but I needed to spice things up a bit.

    Hot shower
    Proraso preshave
    Edwin Jagger best badger
Proraso cream in the moss scuttle
5/8 Eskiltuna FFTH (I think this is called a french point?)
30 trips on the pimpmeister paddle
2 1/2 trips on my face (I just can't figure out how to get that third pass on the neck, need to watch the videos more I think)
    Proraso a/s balm
    Royall Lyme

Wow, nice smooth shave, hardly any pulling and ZERO irritation. This is my first hone job and I'm happy to add this nice little razor to my rotation. I think vlad was feeling extremely generous when he sent this to me because it's a nice little gem. Feels marvelous to have shaved with a razor that *I* honed even if it's not as good as Joe's hone jobs I'll hit it a few more licks on the hone and paddles but definitely with a light touch and then it should be about as good as a newbie can hope to get.

    Hot Shower

    Dovo 6/8 Special
    Vulfix 374 silvertip
    Tony Miller strop
    Taylor's Lavender cream
    Pinaud Citrus Spice

Normally I just rub the cream on my
face and lather. This morning I mixed
it in a bowl that had been floating in
a sink of hot water. I let the brush
sit in the floating bowl between passes.
The lather stayed warm, throughout all
3 passes. Damn, I do love Taylor's Lavender
    cream. A very enjoyable shave.

    Terry
