Today's Shave (after no shaving since last Saturday)

Hot Shower with Stephan's rubbed into my beard a few times
    Warm oil rubbed in well
    Hannah Ceramic Bowl
    Nancy Boy Cucumber SC
    Easy Aces
    SRD P1 40 Felt, 60 Leather
    AOS Aluminum
    Gentleman's Best AS Milk

The Shave was really nice. My skin was fresh and the nick/cut was fully healed. I was moving some stuff around in the basement and found some old stuff of mine and my Dads. Figure it would make for a nice photo.

NYPD S&W Stainless Hand Cuffs Circa 1956 (Dads)
NYPD Lignam Vitae Night Stick Circa 1950 (Dads)
    Trooper Hat, Circa 1982 (Me)
    Police Issue Whistle 1982(Me)
    S&W Model 19 .357 Combat Magnum 1982(Me)

Hope everyone has a safe New years.

#168 Mikael, this is a great looking razor. Upon a second glance at the photo, it has a similar double entendre as your snowman photo from last week too funny!
Happy New Year! Thank you! I really tried, but couldn´t see it and I pride myself to have a dirty mind, lol.

    Default New Years Day

    Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
    Strop: Illinois 835
    Brush: Comoy Badger
    Cream: Tabac
Razor: Royal Invicta 6/8 (E.M. Dickinson, Sheffield)
A/S Balm: Nivea Replenishing Post Shave
    A/S: Old Spice
This was my first ever shave ready razor, my first restoration and my first set of scales. I like to think I've come a long way since then but I am very sentimental about this one.
Result: I finally tried the Tabac cream and really enjoyed its old school kind of smell. I'm also liking the new bottle of Old Spice, Its a real wake up call for the face. An enjoyable shave, but I'm going to have to take the Invicta for a touchup to get it were it needs to be. Its just starting to pull a little.
Happy New Year Boys. Thanks for all the great posts and pics

Fantastic Grant. Take that baby to the hones and watch her shine. Glad you enjoy Tabac...Do you have the soap? if not, I think that's even better than the creme.

    Grant,
As you have probably guessed, this forum has evolved to be more than just a place where we share pictures...it is a family affair. In some ways, little Jack (and your family) has become an integral part of our lives and families. There is not a day that my nephews and niece don't ask about the little guy.

Having said that, I adamantly hope (and pray) that the challenge of 2010 is nothing more than a distant memory and 2011 proves to be a healthy one for you all.

Wow, result! This blade is sharp, prob 5 on a 1-5 scale. After stroping, a hair splits where ever you tap it on the edge .
    Wowww Mikael,
Fantastic way to start day of of 2011. Way to go maestro. I love that frameback.

Excellent post Mark and happy new year.
Just hop on over to LA and you and I can hang out in some warm(er) weather. It's an open invitation buddy...anytime you feel sick of where you are, just catch a plane and come on over...you always will have a "home away from home" and a place to stay

Definitely has become one of my favorites (as well as the MK 32). I just need to slightly tighten the pivot pins as the blade was moving too much during stropping.
Enjoy them my friend. These blades seem to have found a great place to call home

I think this post covers all my sentiments exactly, well said. Grant you and and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers. God Speed.
