Default Sunday Dome and Face Shave

    Hot Shower
    1910 Gem Lather Catcher
    Omega Boar Brush
    TOBS Eton College
    Witch Hazel
    Crusellas Colonia 1800 Vetiver
Murray's Superior Pomade (for the stash)

First time ever with this SC. I like it, I like it alot. I can see a tub of this stuff lasting a very long time. Just a dab was enough to make tons of lather. Well, enough for two passes and touch up on the dome, three passes on the face and a good face washing afterwards, anyway. Few things can run with this lather catcher and a fresh blade and today was certainly no exception, BBS on dome and face.
The older I get, the better I was

Razor: 5/8 D.C.&H. Co. "Clean Cut"
    Soap: Art of Shaving Lemon
    Brush: Vie-Long 13061 Horse Hair
Aftershave: RazoRock Alum / Thayers / Masters Bay Rum
    Cologne: C.O. Bigelow Bay Rum

Not the greatest shave today. Lot of pulling with the Clean Cut. Gonna have to take it to the hones again and give it some more attention. I'd call it a SAS.

    Great pics gentlemen!

    Have a great day everyone!

Gents, let's make this the best and last SOTD of the month before we hit February!
Nice razor Max...Its' funny that you showed off your Chubby 2-band. I have the Chubby1, but received the "2" last week (not chance to break it in yet).

BTW: What's going on in February? another theme week or something? Valentine?...Please, not Valentine. Anything but Valentine.

Nice day today, hung out with the kids, did some restoration work, did some work in the garden with 5 year old Lilly, nice way to spend Sunday.
I finished restoring this Wostenholm last week but this was the first full shave with it.

She's a beauty Grant. You have quite an eye for this. Congrats. Sounds like you had a great Sunday

I can imagine your pain Otto...you can always come and spend winter months in CA. You'll always have a place to stay with us. We can always drive up and torture Max on weekends, LOL.

    Mikael,
Glad you're really enjoying the Kamisori shave. I find that the debate between those that profess shaving with the Omote (flat) side on face all the time versus those who claim it doesn't matter and you can shave with both Omote and Ura is a little overblown.

When I think about it, the Omote side only shaving is only possible if someone else is shaving you...and that's probably what the Kamisori was meant for (but, I am not sure).

In fact, I cannot keep shaving with just the Omote side without breaking one of "the rules" of shaving...WTG, then XTG, and finally ATG (or some variation). So, unless I go WTG, XTG and ATG all in one pass in different areas of my face, I cannot do this. I use both sides of the blade and still keep to the WTG, XTG and ATG rule that I have come to cherish so much.

    José,
What a serene and relaxing shot. If it's any reflection on how your shave was, then I am jealous. Well done maestro

Nice razor Mark, but sorry about the pull/tug and "less than perfect" shave she delivered. I am sure one round on the stones will bring the edge back to life and tomorrow's shave will be nothing short of spectacular

    BRUSH: Simpson PJ3
SOAP: "VETIRWOOD" SRP vetiver with Trumpers Sandalwood
    ASTRINGENT: Thayers unscented

    RESULTS: AWESOME COMBO

Well I finally got my new camera ( NIkon d3100) , this is my first real camera other then my crappy P&S and I have ALOT to learn, but its a fun journey, and maybe i can get a little closer to posting pics as amazing as the rest of you guys on here Also first time trying the Vetirwood uberlather, and this stuff is awesome! I loved the scent it combined and the slickness was superb definitely going to be in my uberlather rotation. I rehoned the Adoration after last time I used it and I was rewarded with a fantastic shave. Smooth and ready for the day. I also got to try the L.T. Piver vetiver and let me say it really is some great smelling stuff. Thanks again BILL .

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT SUNDAY GUYS!
