SOTD -- 2.21.2011
Semogue Custom Boar | Custom Bomb | Boker Edelweiss | Alum | Cade Balm | Annick Goutal Vetiver
This was my first shave as a married man! Sunday was my wedding day, and while my plan was to shave with my new Filly, the plan did not come to fruition due to the chaos surrounding this past weekend. Overall, everything else went according to plan and my wife and I had a wonderful weekend with our families.
Today's shave was a gift to myself as I took an extra long time and savored every minute of it. The Semogue custom boar is an incredible brush, Al's custom cream is amazing and my little Boker never disappoints.
On to the next stage of my life.

SotD - Nightmare to Sweet Dream
This wonderful Badger flew in the box from Treviso,Italy to Kuala Lumpur in 14 days, and I drove 10 kilometers in 10 minutes to fetched her.1 nightmare off.A million thanks to Mrs Elisa Gera of H.Krull & C. S.p.A for making the dream come true. The most wonderful thing about this Badger is not the brush itself but the signature of Mrs.Gera at the base of the wood, the 1 and only.

Wishful thinking Moonbeam, LOL, LOL. It's only February and you have 10 more months to go, LOL
Congrats on the brush arrival and the Crown Wing purchase. Those are awesome blade (I have the SilverWing II, but would have preferred the Crown Wing). I wished they would make the 7/8 version of these baldes, but alas, 5/8 will have to do
Rene,
Don't give up buddy. Keep at it. You are getting ever so closer. JNats aren't the easiest stones to learn on, but well worth the effort.
Beautiful blades (despite the recycled picts)
Now, I am going to have nightmares about choosing ONE blade. I can't...I just can't, LOL
It was a pleasure having you guys over. We should do it again in the next week or so (before things cool down again and we get busy). Honing and microscopy will be on the agenda. Bring a couple of blades that you want to hone up and we will try out all the hones.
Those Vehos aren't the best scopes, but they are great for $50-$60.
Hey Matt,
First and foremost: HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY to Brandon. He (and your niece are so cute. Kids are fantastic at that age. best age is between 2-ish to 8-ish...until they start to develop attitudes and personalities.
Secondly, I am glad to learn that you liked the shave with the Filarmonica. How was her edge? I hadn't shaved with that thing (or refreshed the edge) in awhile and hope it was still OK.
Best of luck with Jury Duty buddy. We all have to do our civic duty.
That's one heck of a Pearl Mark. Beautiful
CONGRATULATIONS buddy. I am surprised to see that you have the energy to shave, LOL, LOL
That my friend, is one beautiful brush. Congratulations and hope we don't read about any "road kills" along your route to the post office, LOL. Is that Kingwood?Last edited by BladeRunner001; 02-22-2011 at 06:05 AM.
