Week of February 20 SOTD - Monday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger Razor: 13/16" Dubl Duck "Satinedge", Full Hollow, Spike Point Strop: 50/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather) Überlather: Tabac Shave Creme + Tabac Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Spanish Blue AS Cologne: Floïd Spanish Blue EdC Results: Today, I brought out the Dubl Duck Satinedge. It's been a good long while since I had experienced her smooth edge. Just to eliminate any possibility of surprises, last night I refreshed her edge on the Y/G Escher for 10 laps with light slurry, finishing with water alone for 50 laps. I was very pleasantly reminded of the Duck's performance. Fabulously BBS and smooth. Of course, the Tabac über was an excellent way to prep my 2-day growth.

yesterday, David (aka, nubskillz) and Matt (aka, thewatermark) came by and we had a great time. We exchanged notes and stories and had a blast. However, since we were somewhat short on time and we barely got to talk and experiment with the stones, we're going to have to do this real soon before the waters cool again. David/Matt: enjoy the Filarmonica and take good care of my baby. Let me know what you guys think about this shaver.
Have an EXCELLENT (President's Day) Monday guys.

Excellent SOTDs guys
Thank you Bruce...I did go ahead the 3 scents (Sandalwood, Citrus, and Rose). Like I don't have enough cremes/soaps already, LOL
Thanks for the kind words Grant. I appreciate it. All seven have been showcased already...Now, they will go on regularly into rotation. I really enjoyed shaving with them all...even my wife was excited getting involved in picking out the blades for each SOTD.
Excellemundo Mark.
Awesome custom Greg. The guy that your daughter marries may be lucky, but I imagine that will only be true AFTER her father has gone through grilling the poor chap for a few years before being convinced that he's good enough for her, LOL
Jeff,
Great creme and fantastic Fatboy
Very nice job on the handle. Congrats. I hope Monday starts out on a better footing for you than this past weekend
Sachin,
Lovely blade and brush
Patience my dear, patience, LOL. It'll show and you will be on cloud 9
Brrrrrrrrr!!! That's just like living in frozen Tundra. Maybe both of you should be in Miami, LOL. Great shave guys
Nice blade
Hey Bill,
That beautiful, Monster Friodur must have had a blast taking off that few days of growth on your face, eh? From Mr. Stubbles to Mr. Clean! What a transformation that must have been. Well done.
David,
The jaw line is almost always the last area that will come online. As you said: Patience and practice.
Fabulous David
Mark,
Impressive blade, brush and creme combo. Very nice

I like the scent, but few things smell like true sandalwood (very refined scent I think - Nannys has one with pure/true sandalwood oil scent in it, I´m thinking of buying it (but I got so many soaps/creams). I love My Dr Harris Sandalwood and Salter cream though, but both are far from being close to a the orginal scent of sandalwood. That being said, I don´t think they´re synthetic or sticky in their scent profile.

Blissful shave... That's a nice brush and blade
Thanks Mikael,
Well...It's on order and shipped already so we'll see in several days.
PS: I've been doing a bit of research (articles etc) in my free time and learning some interesting facts about the chemistry and biochemistry of scents (Essential Oils and Sandalwood in general). Once I finish, I will be posting in a thread some of my thoughts about these scents. The whole thing is incredibly interesting and complex.
Ahhh!!! so, that's what a brush looks like, LOL
Never mind us big guy, we're just being silly. Nice gear though and great looking brush :-)

Thanked: 2516Thanks Glenn and Robert, one from my "Black Handle" DE collection. This Gillette SS is very mild (too mild for my liking) but it shaves very good and I use it every now and then. The Mug is one of my "Ship Mugs" and is probably the best one I have. Thanks for noticing!
