Hey Glenn, it was this razor that finally convinced me to order some of that acrylic. I haven't yet used the smoke, which I believe is what was used for your scales, but the midnight is what I used on the Bengall in tonights post.

Great shave. A little touch up hone last night left the razor's edge in fine trim. 3 passes BBS. Also, the Alum Block and Aqua Velva Combination is fantastic for just a crisp, skin tightening experience. Very nice. And now I ruin a perfect day by getting dressed and going to work.

    Friday, February 25th

    Razor: Apollo Mikron
    Blade: Schick Plus Platinum
    Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Trumper Violet (Tallow Version)
A/S: Three Crowns Violet aftershave Milk

A less than stellar shave today. The Apollo is a bit different from my other razors and this unfamiliarity led to a bit of razor burn. The Three Crowns ASM calmed things down nicely.

It's amazing looking stuff for shure. The Midnight on your Bengall is spectacular, it really jumps out at you and I like it a lot. Who is the supplier?

    Default Friday

    Pre: Hot shower
Brush: New Forest Tubby 2, 26 mm super/silvertip two band
    Razor: Warranted
    Soap: Professor Blightly´s Grapewood
    AS: Professor Blightly´s Grapewood
    Strops Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean
Wow, Neil has done a superb restoration of this razor. 200 years old and looks like new . And the scales are out of this world, well done Neil!! A bit unfair to shave with this one after two days with super preminum razors (3 crosses and Gotta 120), but it holds it´s on right. Fidos new brush is a delight to use aswell, I actually kept on painting with the brush after I had enough lather, very soft and nice bristels! The handle is top notch work and hand turned in England this time. It´s a wider handle than on the Cubby 2 and that works better for me. Everything with this shave was A +, pro B:s soft wear was stellar aswell. Even the Derby blade for the head shave, was top notch after some hand stropping.
