Results: This nameless Solingen Stainless is a wonderful shaver...perfect for wiping 2-days of growth. This brush is one whose ergonomic design (originally by Acca Kappa) I asked Rudy Vey to make for me in "Kingwood" handle. He recommended using the TGN, gradeA silvertip. It took him 3 tries to get this perfect and I love (and appreciate) it...and I mean it in every way; ergonomics, quality of silvertip badger hair, size, etc...I couldn't be happierhttp://www.foroafeitado.es/foro/imag...ies/banana.gif. As far as überlather, Bay Rum was the scent of the day (as per Bill's recommendation and Bruce's encouragement. This one's for you gents http://www.foroafeitado.es/foro/imag...s/thumbsup.gif). I used the Ogallala shave stick that Rene gifted me some time ago and loaded the brush, mixed it with a pea sized amount of the CarrieM creme. Add a little glycerin, et Voilà!!! A nice lather...not the best that I have become so accustomed to but great nonetheless, with an exceptionally intoxicating scent. The lather was slowly "collapsing" on itself in the scuttle and needed a refresh. I was not a big fan of Bay Rum, but I think that I am slowly changing my mind. The scent was so good that I spent a good 3 minutes working the warm lather into my whiskers. Instant gratification as the lather disappeared in the wake of the Solingen's edge, whereby each pass left behind a smoother skin than the pass before it :y. I am going to love this Friday. |
