Great to hear that the CarrieM Bay Rum is a match for the Ogallala. The latter is my favorite Bay Rum scent. (although Pinaud VIBR is in a class all to itself!) The Ogallala always has that pithy waxy feel to the lather and it dries out pretty fast. I would have thought the Glycerin would have given it some body and elasticity. At any rate, great report Robert!

I picked this Tiger up in an antique store for $19. bucks and it was so unique that I had to have it prettied up. Glenn (gssixgun) worked his majic on it and it's like a beautiful new razor. It has a place of honor in my shadow box on the Shave Den Wall. Thanks for noticing! :D

Brush: New Forest Tubby 2
Razor Filarmonica DT 13
Soap: Nannys The Spicey One
AS: Old Spice Lime
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean :)
I think I get Nannys new formula ... It´s more slick, how that´s even possible I don´t know, but that´s it + it holds together really fine, in combination with being a damned fine soap to start with. Maybe a touch softer than the reg formula aswell. Very good anyhow!

By my mind:
If you have brushes with the same dimension you'll not feel a difference.
But I really favorizes Silvertips.
For travelling I'll use in the future only the new synthetic.
Please realize: The blue one is only a test-brush. I'll order a brush-head with the new synthetic bristles and use it at my nickel-travel-brush.

I don't know! I have only these two synthetic brushes by Muehle.
Again: I'll visit Muehle-factory in spring. There I'll take a look at brushes with the same size like a Silvertip, take some pictures and maybe buy a big one of the new synthetic bristle brushes.So I can directly test, if there are some differences.
My first impression was, this one looks and feels like a Silvertip.
