1959 Gillette Super Speed Red Tip
    Crystal Israeli Blade
Ogallala SS & Musgo Real SC Uber-lather
    Omega Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Brut Original ASB
    Brut Original Cologne
Results: Slick & Comfortable! The Red Tip SS delivered a super shave this morning. These are the best of the Super Speeds IMHO and are equivalent to an adjustable set on #7.

@ Rene'; The Ogallala SS & Musgo Real SC worked fine as far as creaminess but, the Musgo overwhelmed the Bay Rum Scent of the Ogallala SS as it did with your TOBS mix. Maybe if the SC didn't have any scent the Ogallala SS's scent would remain. Dunno. Oh well, science marches on! LOL
Hope everyone has a great shave and wonderful day today!

    Bruce,
Great shot. As for the Ogallala SS, my best uber with that creature came from a mix of Ogallala + CarrieM SC in Bay Rum. I seem to remember CarrieM telling me that she specifically designed her Bay Rum to match/compliment the Ogallala scent. I highly recommend trying it if you're searching for the ultimate combination that will preserve the wonderful scent!

Hmmm...that is a great tip Bill . Rene sent me some Ogallala stick and I have some of CarrieM. I wasn't a big fan of the scent, but it is slowly starting to grow on me. I think I will use your suggestion and see what happens. I am sure it'll be great

The TOBS St. James is great Rene'. I love the scent of it alone. I will use the Ogallala SS and Musgo SC combo this morning and report later. (Gotta have my Coffee first!) LOL

Made for a great shave as the razor is really well balanced. Barely feels like you are holding it.
Congratulations Doug...that's one heck of a blade.

Beautiful Wacker Fonti. I love this version of the Jubiläummesser and the etched writing on her spine. Very classy

    6. badger
Those two were exactly the ones I picked as synthetic too . The real question in my mind is (and I know you fell this): will I be able to tell the difference in a blind test?

Can't believe this thing is that old. Very clean too.
