Today I will have a French inspired day. Started with heating a Schwartzweisskeramic XL scuttle with really hot water and putting a Simpson Emperor 2 in the water reservoir. So out in the living room finding a CD with Eric Satie`s Gymnopedies, wonderful shaving music. Back to the bathroom, preparing my face with hot water and some Fitjar Black Nyasha soap to soften the beard. Time has come for stropping the French razor T-I Crown Silverwing 11/16 on my Ambrose strop. Now on to the lather, today I took a touch of Fitjar Neroli soap on the brush, then some Castle Forbes Lime and went to work in the big SW. The result was a bomb of the finest smell in my bathroom. This hot premium lather felt wonderful and warm on my tired face and really got me awake
It is OK to be just that when you have a Straight razor in your hand! 4 passes later and some Fitjar Neroli aftershave cream I felt ready for the new day after a perfect straight shave. I think a bottle of champagne and Ravel`s Bolero will round the day off nicely this evening!
