After my shave I do the following:
    • I dry the razor with a towel
    • allow it to air dry for about 15 minutes
    • Wipe it with a silicone treated gun cloth
    • put in razor case and place in climate controlled gun safe
That's why I'm blaming the celluloid as it doesn't look like rust, and it has a random "spray" pattern to it.
I think I'm going to polish the blade and quarantine it from my others to see what happens.

    Thanks

    Glenn

It probably is. I think if you use Renaissance wax it wont happen. Im not sure if the gun cloth has enough oil in it for a blade. Guns are blued which has a bit of protection already with the blueing. I use the wax. Then let dry for an afternoon. Then oil the blade when putting them away in my gun safe. Not temp or humid control

Unfortunately I don't own a frameback, but here's my SOTD anyway:

Hot Shower, Wade and Butcher Wedge, Omega Boar, C.O. Bigelow, Alum Block, Nivea ASB, Pierre Cardin Cologne. I took the day off today so this was a nice leisurely Hollywood shave (3 passes) maybe the best shave ever from this razor.
The older I get, the better I was
