I agree, nice blades but crapy scales. Gabors scales though ... I tried to get him to do some work for me, but apperently he´s fully booked for a long time He deserves that though, the pieces he gets out are stunning.

I told Gabor, I can wait. And the results were beautiful.

Friodur 8/8 | Semogue Custom Boar | MdC | Thayers Rose | Cade ASB | Aramis Havana (Vintage)

What a shave! I had not shaved since Thursday. I face lathered the MdC so that I could really work it into the heavy growth. It felt like a nice massage as the boar worked up a thick, luxurious lather. From there, the huge Friodur wiped the whiskers away like magic. I am so BBS now that I can't imagine what it was like to have all that hair on my face. Great way to start the week!

    Prep: washed with cold water
    Brush: FS Fine Badger
    Soap: Mama bear_Citrus and Basil

    Razor:
    Christopher Johnson
    AS: Givency_ Play

Result: The razor does not look neat, but shaves as a dike.
    A very tight shave.
I first had him a few times along a paddle strop with Crox.

This was my first Straight Razor. Haven't
shaved with it since RAD took over, this
razor gives an extremely smooth, close
shave, better than I remember ! But then
again, I've learned alot since then. Over all
a fantastic shave with some not so
fantastic memories, but its all good now !

Thanks, Grant, it is a Maxterpiece! He did a wonderful job, particularly given that this Friodur suffers from their typical bent tang. He managed to put it together in such a way that it centers nice and straight. It's such a joy to use this big blade now.

    Default Welcome Back Old Friend!

    Wednesday, March 23rd

    Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
    Blade: Super Iridium
    Brush: Simfix Grosvenor
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: DR Harris Almond Shave Stick
A/S: DR Harris Arlington Aftershave Milk

I was feeling like I was neglecting my other razors so took a week off from the Sticky. The week off sealed the deal...the Wilkinson Sticky is my favorite razor. Period! I was glad to have it back in the saddle and enjoyed an excellent shave. The Arlington aftershave milk was the perfect finish for a blustery day (by california standards).
