I love the Bow. She's a beautiful shaver Tom.
Birnando,
...And I will never tire looking at her, LOL. She is quite the looker too. Congrats. You know, I was thinking: Have you tried shaving off those stones without stropping? I'd be very curious about this especially going from a JNat to an Escher. Don't try it on my account, just wondering!!
Very nice Bill...even for an Army day. As the saying goes: "She is all that she can be"
An excellent choice of blade and soap today Mikael.
José,
You've gone totally DE today, LOL. Well done. Nice way to start Saturday my friend.
Hehehehe. But make sure you don't put your wallet on a "lapband"...there are side effects, LOL. Looking forward to seeing your restore buddy.
Nicely done Rene (and thank you). Have fun with Jeff.
Jeff,
The honing will be revealed after Rene is done. Is "Between Rounds" bistro where you're meeting Rene?
Beautiful blade and an even better finish. Gotta love the Manantiales
What a nice combination of top products. CF is amazing as is the QED line of soaps. Well done
Monroe,
Soap + brush + razor = AMAZING!!! No wonder you feel WUNDERBAR.
PS: Hope your niece is doing OK.
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger Maxterpiece: 8/8" DOVO #55 "Best Class", Full Hollow Ground, French Point (Bone Linen Micarta) Strop: 0/5 laps (Neil Miller linen/Premium IV leather) Lather: La Toja "Manantiales" Shave Soap Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber After Shave Creme: Sabon AS Creme (Thank you Frank :)) Results: I had my DOVO #55 rescaled by Max who decided to clothe her in his newest scale material - i.e., Bone Linen Micarta. Needless to say, she looks AMAZING :tu(Thank you Maxtro:bow)!!! The La Toja Mantiales provided an incredible lather in which the DOVO was all to happy to play in. The 2-day growth was absolutely no match for this beautiful blade. I loved the smooth and BBS shave this wonderful steel delivered:y. I didn't feel a thing. In fact, I had to remind myself that I had just shaved.

See you all tonight...Busy day ahead. Have a TERRIFIC Saturday gentlemen :tu.
Thanks Robert...It was a great shave. The only thing that could best it is a straight razor shave.
My niece is fine. I just spoke with her on the phone. She's in her parent'e house in Montgomery now. She says that it will be several weeks before she can return to her apartment complex in Tuscaloosa.

No photo today! But first shave in what seems like a very long time. Been under the weather with an old bug!
Just did one pass today and boy-o-boy do I feel civilized. Though I'm not quite back on my feet this has made me feel a whole lot better.
Ah life is good.
