PS: have a great trip buddy. Now that Tom's vacation will end, I look forward to going to Italy with you guys. Don't forget to post picts (if time permits) and tell us how you (or rather we) are liking the trip
Thanks for the kind words, Robert. The JC is definitely a blade to get; it gave such a wonderful shave today! As for diluting La Toja, I don't think I'm ready to call it sacrilege! It was simply adding to the lather, and it ubered like crazy! Try it, lightening will not strike, I promise!

I don't know that I'll be able to post many pictures, but we will definitely enjoy our trip!

Very nice Mikael. A beautiful razor and brush...and a great combination of soap/creme. Complementing scents, I guess. An atypical photo...I like it.
Even as a toddler I wanted that razor, I do understand if you don´t want to give it up, even though for another mans long time dream ...

Thank you, its a quirky pic, I kind of liked it.

Post Week of May 29 SOTD - Wednesday

    Late Post Today
    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2", 2-band Super Badger
Maxterpiece: 13/16" Dubl Duck "Satinedge", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (G10 Jade Ghost + Hunter Orange wedge)
Honing Regimen: Naniwa 1k, Shapton Pro [1k/2k/5k/12k]
Strop: 0/15 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Bay Rum" Shave Creme + Ogallala "Bay Rum/Sweet Orange" Shave Soap + Glycerin (+ lots and lots of water)
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Ogallala "Bay Rum/Sage/Cedar" AS (shaken, not stirred)
Results: I received my 3 Maxterpieces yesterday and honed them up this AM. This Duck is one of those three. Max put her up in G10 jade Ghost and gave her a nice Hunter Orange wedge . Beautiful really. Now she looks Maxed out and everything is perfectly balanced (Thank you Max). She took on a heck of an edge too in no time. Bay Rum was the scent I was in the mood for today and Ogallala/CarrieM mix worked wonders. The trick with the Ogallala is to add lots of water (and I mean lots). This soap can handle it...otherwise, you end up with good lather that looks like cottage cheese. The scent was invigorating. Lovely!!! Oooooh Yeaaaaaahhhhh baby. Smooth and BBS all over the face.

    Have a Fabulous Wednesday gentlemen.

Beautiful Friodur Monroe. And please forgive me for advertizing this, but:

Everyone please join me in congratulating Monroe for receiving the prestigious Center for Leadership Development (CLD) Directors Award at his University where he teaches. This is in recognition of his research and community service contributions, which have enriched the awareness and understanding of black history. This is well deserved my friend. Well done
