    Default Memorial Day Shave

    Cool Shower
    Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    La Toja Shave soap
    New Forest Badger
13/16 Spanish Point : 3/8 Hollow : G10 Jade Ghost Custom by Max
    AOS Aluminum
    Aramis
    Vaseline for men

Second shave with this razor. Second shave with this soap. The soap lathered up thick and slick. The aroma was wonderful. The razor, well what can I say about it. It just glides over my face and easily removes whiskers. Balanced in the hand and wonderful to shave with.

Default Yet Another Memorial Day Shave

    Location: 91324
    Prep: Shower
Razor: Merkur Classic 1904 w/ Feather Blade
    Brush: AOS Badger
    Cream: Proraso (Green Tub)
Post Shave: Alum/Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel
AS: Ogallala Bay Rum w/Limes & Peppercorns

Results: Very nice! I'm finding that Feathers need a "break in" period. The first 2-3 shaves I have to go VERY light with the pressure (more so than usual), as these things are wicked sharp. By shave #5, things are going nicely.

Feathers are ruthlessly sharp indeed. Nice choice though. Equally nice choice in AS

    Good morning Gentlemen!

    Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger, long handle
    Soap: Erasmic Shave Cream
Razor: Erik Anton Berg, 5/8 half hollow spike, in bone scales.
    Strop: magnetic bench strop
After Shave Splash: Lavender-Spice splash, with black pepper, nutmeg and cloves to balance the florals.
Notes: I did not enjoy my shave much today, I have a cold and cough and sneeze a lot. Therefore I only did one pass and a touchup, but shave was smooth and otherwise comfortable. The soap lathers lovely, but the face felt a little dry so I had to use a little shea butter lotion. Note to self: try using a preshave oil with this lather.
The funky after effects was an attempt to visualize today's shave.

A very grey morning with lots of rain in Oslo today. Yesterday's fishing expedition didn't bring much food to our table, but we had a great time trying We'll try again!

Razor: Robert Williams Custom, 8/8", French tip 1/2 hollow.
Strop: Vintage C-MON Vel-edge, Cordovan Shell and Linen
